Birthday Party Planner

Birthday party planning may seem a difficult task to many. To make the planning easier and organized, you should have your own checklist. The following items are the things that should be considered in your checklist.

1.    Choose the theme of the birthday party that is appropriate for the guests. This will also help you in identifying the things that you may need for the party. Unless you want to surprise your child, it’s a good idea to ask what theme they would like. They might have a favorite movie or super hero that they would like to use as a party theme. My youngest daughter loves to have a princess theme.

2.    Try to number out the guests you are going to invite to be prepared on the food and drinks you will serve. Choose a place where you can accommodate all the guests and make sure that you reserve the location of the party in advance.

3.    Make the guests informed on when and where the birthday party will be held. Send the invitations earlier so that your guests can check out their own schedules. Be sure to set the exact date.

4.    It is strongly recommended that you select a menu of what you will serve for the party. Food is always the main attraction of a party. You may prepare dishes and appetizers for the party and try to make the menu appropriate for the guests that you have invited.

For a children’s party, birthday cake and ice cream is usually all that is required.

5.    Be sure to decorate the place where you will hold the party. Make the place clean and you may want to consider placing plants, flowers, and decorative props that will set the mode on the party’s theme. You may also add entertainment by hiring a clown or a magician.

6.    If you are going to have the birthday party catered, contact the catering service for reservations of chairs and tables that will be used. It is better that you book these items two weeks before the party.

You may ask your friends and family to help you decorate and prepare for the party. It is not that easy to do all the preparations alone.

Preparing the party alone can be time consuming and can give you more stress. It is advisable that you seek help from your friends or hire a party planner if you can afford the fee.

Personalized Birthday Gifts for Babies

If you know a baby who is going to have his or her first birthday soon, you have an opportunity to get a gift that will be something they will treasure for all of their life. Unique, personalized gifts, whether home-made or purchased and monogrammed are very popular.

Having the child’s name on the gifts they receive can make them more meaningful and more memorable as well as less likely to be discarded once the baby has outgrown them. After all, no parent wants to throw away something emblazoned with their child’s name.

Yeas ago my sister gave my son a t-shirt with a picture of him and his dad on the front. We still have it even though he outgrew it a long time ago.

One of the more unique personalized baby gifts on the market is a baby’s t-shirt with photos of the parents on the front and the question, “Do I really look like them” on top of the pictures. While wearing the shirt it is bound to spark conversation about which the parent the baby mostly resembles.

There are many ideas for unique personalized baby gifts, but for one to be truly unique it should contain something special about the baby or the parents that cannot be related to anyone else. Not only will that concept make it unique, it will also make it special to the parents whom the giver is trying to impress with their ability to find unique personalized baby gifts.

Handmade pillows with the child’s name on them make pretty unique personalized baby gifts. If you like to do needlework you can make a pillow or a wall-hanging with a special picture and the baby’s name, or even a family tree. My sister gave me a framed family tree that she embroidered. It goes back to my great-grandparents and is something that I treasure.

There are numerous designs on materials that can be used for making unique personalized baby gifts. Adding the name to make unique personalized baby gifts will always make it special and longer lasting in the eyes of the parents.
